Cambelts are an essential part of maintaining your vehicle. Not doing so at the manufacturer's recommended interval (this can vary depending on Make, Model and Engine) can unfortunately lead to irrepairable damage to your engine, sometimes required a full engine replacement. It is important to note that Cambelt intervals often have a mileage and an age value. It's important that you replace your cambelt on a "whichever comes first" basis. As Cambelts are made of rubber, it can perish over a period of time regardless of mileage.
If it's relevant for your vehicle, we will also recommend a Water Pump replacement at the same time as it is often driven by the same drive belt and not replacing could be a false economy. As always, the choice is completely yours and we can undertake full replacements at competitive prices both at our premises or via our mobile mechanic service.
